Default 3.9L, six cylinder ?timing chain?

I do not know if I need to change the timing belt? Chain? on my 1992 Dodge D150 with the 3.9L six cylinder engine. I have 89,000 miles I do not hear any funny metal or other wise noises from the engine. I searched internet and found various completley different answers. Please respond and let me know Do I have a Timing Chain or Timing Belt? If the Belt or Chain goes out will it ruin my motor.

Definatly a chain. Dodges are known to wear out timing chains fairly quickly, but you have pretty low mileage. If you have another reason to dive in there; like tooltime said, a leaky waterpump, I would change it. Otherwise, wait till you hit another 15 or 20k miles.
