horn doesnt work

Default horn doesnt work

hey guys just got new w150 and only thing that doesnt work is the horn and the amount of traffic and people i love to flip off its hard without a horn. im most likley going to be installing my dixie horn but can i install the dixie horn to the steering wheel or should i replace the normal horn to steering wheel and make a button for dixie?

but regardless anyone know how to fix he horn

Does your cigarette lighter work? They are on the same fuse. I'd start there.

Check the fuses if ok

Use a test light and press the horn button and see if you have power to the horns.

If you have power, the horns have failed or have a bad ground.

oh haha yea theres no fuse in it i put a 15 in it cause thats all i had kicking around what fuse number should i use?

i think it is suppose to be a 20 amp fuse in there

^20 amp sounds about right.

You need to figure out what CAUSED the original fuse to blow, so you don't end up blowing it again or causing the truck to burn down.



And we want more pictures of that old beast.

sounds like there was no fuse in the holder at all. if he is using a 15 amp the fuse should blow long before the truck tries catching fire.

hey sorry late responce on it. okay so i put the 15 in and no toot toot :/ but also havent had time to take pics. hhaha been so busy driving it till she blows over (therostate needs replaced) but i put new exhaust on it and it now sounds like a big block lol haha boy does she purr! but its gone back to the shop i bought it from cause they said they would fix all the problems. but parts were on order so they will be fixing thermostate and i think they said horn. and the cable for my oil temp. so ill get some pics and maybe a vid or two within the week.

That sounds good. So, what did you have done to the exhaust, new mufflers and pipes or just mufflers, and what kind and size?
