Looking to buy a 1990.
it is easy to power the coil from a switched hot just to trouble shoot it. He is either stupid ot trying to take some fool for their money and laugh all the way to the bank. That being said, the truck (other than his **** wiring for the tach) looks pretty trick....I mean save for the bed missing, which I read he has. Anywho, I would tell him that if he gets it runnign and puts the bed on you'll give him 1800 for it otherwise, I would tell him 1000 and not a penny more.
You could probably sell that cab for $500 around here in the rust belt. I don't think the price is too crazy, provided it looks as good as it does in the pictures. If the motor isn't full of what used to be it's insides, I think that's a great price for a nice project.
Not an $1800 truck. $1000-$1350 sounds about right, since it is nice.
Dodge dude your comparison sucks. your truck has a 400 yes, but I would rather have a 318 than a 400, and your truck is 2wd, and not in as good shape, and short bed regular cab 4x4's are desirable.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm gonna check it out tomorrow. I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm looking to spend $1,000 tops. We'll see if he goes for it. '93 and older Dodge pickups with the regular cab/short bed setup are pretty damn rare around here. I'm willing to take my chances. I absolutely love these trucks and I need a new project.
if the guy got it running it would be worth what he is asking for it. otherwise you are gambling that the running gear is good. you really need to at least be able to take it for a test drive or even move it so you can listen for clunks or noises that are not normal. plus they converted it from TBI to carb which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. it would have been better overall if they kept it TBI but some people don't always see it that way.
TBI has some benefits over carb. not quite as nice as MPI but it would still do better than a carb while offroading and you would not have to wait for it to warm up as much in the winter.
