Parking brake lite is always on now. The parking brake switch is a plastic piece with 2 copper strips. One copper strip should have a wire attached to it. Under the dash I have 2 wires that I found that could be what should go on that strip. One wire is red, the other is black. How do I wire up this switch?

if there is no wire attached to the park light switch then the light should not be on. according to the diagram i am looking at the wire connected to the park brake switch should be grey with black stripe.
