Default offroad bumper swap

http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/3948641293.html

So that guy has been trying to sell his truck for awhile now and I asked about his bumpers a couple times and he has now changed is mind and if offering the pair for 1500. I think thats high but I dont really know. Was wondering yalls opinion on them as well as if there would be any issues swapping to my 92 w150. Only thing I can think of is my tow package might not fit with the bumper

The price seems a bit high; but knowing what steel prices are now days there is probably $750 in steel in those bumpers depending on the thickness.

I know that for my front bumper is going to run me $500 in steel alone but luckily I can weld and have a welder. The rear bumper I bought from a member over on Ramcharger Central had well over $300 in steel alone.

Can you weld or have a buddy with a welder? There is nothing more satisfying than designing and building your own.

They should swap. Also, the rear bumper looks like it has a hitch built in.

His taillights! WTF?!?!

Yeah idk why anybody would want to do that even if its soly for offroad use. I think that hurts his chances of selling it alot.

I noticed the hitch on there, i was worried it wouldnt be that strong but if its really a heavy duty bumper then it should be fine.

And I cant weld but i know some who do but nowhere good to do it. So thats kinda outa the question for me.

I kind of like the seats he dropped in there; can you tell what they came out of?

ok got some more info on them. the steel is 3/16 think and both bumpers together weighs around 150 to 200 pounds. Im not really sure what is considered normal or good.

as for the seats, I asked and he had them custom made in California.

edit
Turns out hes gonna be parting out his entire truck (which i suggested but didnt think hed do it, although I think he will be better off doing that) so the seats could be in my truck soon lol.

Still not quite sure I want to spend that kind of money on bumpers right now but we will see
