winch or lift? pros cons
hey they are roughly same price and i dont know what to get m engine bay getting too wet and would like to lift up the truck more but not too big i was thinking5-6" lift good for flexing rocks and obsticals but still good for hitting mudd and water. or i was thinking a winch cause my bumper is winch ready just needs a winch
what should i get what winch and what lift kit
what are the cons with a lift kit what else would i need like drive shafts or? my truck already has a add a leaf so i can fit my 33x12.5 tires

Winch and a snorkel? If you lift the truck, expect worse road manners, and expect to want/have to regear the truck. There really aren't any drawbacks to having a winch.
Besides, lifted trucks still get stuck . . . then they need a winch.

You'll need to regear like Turner said for 33s, and that is a BIG added cost. If you go with just a winch, that is all you'll need for a better off road experience and you can MAKE money with a winch by pulling cars out of ditches when it snows as well. I would also go no bigger than 31x10.5s for tyres unless you also have at least an extra $1200.00 to change to at least 4:11 gears in front and rear axles, then you need posi in the rear, and better U joints, and beefier stuff to support it....the list goes on and on.
