Default 81 bighorn

just new to this forum , I live in Minnesota ware all the old rams rusted out badly . I have had several over the years and am still fond of the eighties body style . I just picked tis 81 big horn up in lafors Texas and am looking forward to restoring it . maybe even showing it . I am a 31 year veteran mechanic and the mechanical is easy peasy for me , however I am sending it in for a repaint this coming spring . dose anyone have any production numbers for these ?81 bighorn-81dodge-ram-5.jpg

Nice truck, and as for production numbers, I am going to guess quite a few. So not collectable but still worth doing what you want to it~!

I have the exact looking truck I purchased in November 1980 from Preston I I Chrysler in Dallas Texas and it was a 1 of 99 Walt Garrison special. Long wheel base, magnum rims, low bucket sheepskin seats, center ice chest console, power windows, door lock, steering, sliding back glass, 318 motor, 727 torque flight transmission, brown metallic on cream paint with warlock pinstripe. Sure this combination was available to anyone anywhere, but specific for the Walt Garrison special package.
