Hi,
I have a 1 ton dually Power Ram and was wondering what size the differentials are dana 60, 70, .....80 ?
I acquired the truck and am thinking of turning it into a wood truck (firewood). It has a utility bed and I already have a guy that wants to swap a flatbed, which is what I want.
This truck needs a lot of work.
I may take it down to the frame and build it back up (simplified, ie, sheet metal dash, wiring, etc).
Am I in the right place for 1st gen Power Ram?
Today, parts guy told me "D" is 2 wheel drive, "W" is 4x4. ....??

 

yup this is the right place on these forums at least, sometimes this place isnt overly active though.
I'm really not sure what diffs your truck has ( it is a 4x4?) probably dana 60s though and your parts guy is right, my 85 4x4 half ton (which has power ram emblems) is designated a w150 yours.. if its a 4x4 would be a w350 all the 2 wheel drive trucks have a d not a w sounds like you have a fun project of you.

 

kind of seems like if I post this question elsewhere (as in 1st gen ram forum) I will receive 50 lashes w/a cat-o-nine tails. or

huh, this is the first gen ram tech section or at least it is on dodgeforum.com I believe thiers also a first gen non tech section around here too

W350 is what you have since it sounds like it is 4x4. Post a few pics including the diffs but my guess since it's a dually is 60 front 70 rear.
