I've got a 92 ram with a wrecked front end. Hydroplaned into a telephone pole at about 15 and damaged the hood, bumper, and grill. I've got a buddy with a 79 d50 and he was gonna give me the hood but I wasn't sure it would fit so that's basically my question.

 

I'm assuming you meant d150, not d50. 1979 was the first year for the d150, which was a compact truck that shares zero parts with the big rams. Nothing from that will fit.

If you meant a d150, the hood will bolt up, but will fit better if you take the cowl too. Otherwise I believe it will have a big gap.
