I noticed over the summer that my transmission mount was getting weak. A day or two ago it gave up the fight and it now sounds like somebody is hammering on the transmission crossmember when I drive.

I have this style mount



I can't find any polyurethane mounts of that style. It seems like in about 1987, they switched from the earlier style mount pictured below to what I have.



Does anybody know if I can swap to an earlier style mount? Or if there is a polyurethane version of the mount I currently have? When I replace long-term wear parts like this, I like to try to upgrade when I can.
