Default radiator

I have an 87 D100 with 318. It is VERY difficult to find a non plastic radiator for these trucks. However I did notice that the slant 6 radiator was much more available. I would reccomend keeping yours and having it recored or repaired.

The inside looks bad. Looks like rust and the coils is bent in a spot or 2 and maybe leaking at the bottom

The entire middle section will be gone if you get it recored. All new one put in.
However I think you can get a all metal rad for the 6 cylinder for about 150 bucks. Stay away from the newer plastic ones they are terrible.

I got a price from O'reilly's for one $120.00 i think. There is a radiator shop close to work and i went over there and let them look at it. If i take the radiator out it is $50.00 to clean it,$75.00 if they do it and $125.00 to flush, boil etc.

I bet the 120 dollar one is a plastic chinese made one. You will replace it again next year. Search around for recore prices.

Here is an all Brass/Aluminum rad for your SL 6
For some reason there are decent all metal rads for the 6. The standard v8 rad is hard to find.
