Default dual pickup vs reg distributor which is better and why

my 1987 d150 360 has a dual pickup dis how does it work and would i be better to change it to a single pickup dissy the truck has a rv cam for towing nothing erratic it doesnt seem to have the power it should if i change the dissy to a 76 model single will i have to change the comp box

What the hell are you? F-ing 12?
I know you can't be retarded so stop trying to show people that you are.

If you are to lazy to use distributor (which is a simple word) and you must shorten it then at least have the brain power to use DIST for it.

Just the fact people do this when the word makes them sound mentally handicapped when obviously they are not because they have a driver's license and can use a computer (or cell phone)

If I'm not mistaken the dual pickup distributor was used the lean burn system only.
I believe it used one pickup for starting only and the other one for run.
Used different timing for start and run.
