Default Shifter

I decided to keep the 2wd and go with a drag truck instead of going 4wd mud truck so I'm gonna put bucket seats out of a grandprix in it and I was wondering if I can put a shifter on the floor floor for my automatic without cutting in the floor of my cab

Just need a hole for the cable and a couple of mounting points. They make the real tall shifters that look like a 4 speed. They look great in these old trucks

heres a couple. You can see how there is just a couple of mounting points and then the cable goes through the floor. keep the cable clear of exhaust though.
