Default Transmission leak

I have what is believed to be a 1990 transmission hooked up to a 93 318. I can't remember the year of the tranny might be able to find out later if it is important. My tranny is leaking above the neutral safety switch and I can't identify where the leak is from. I haven't actually caught it leaking when I clean it but after I walk away the fluid is off the dipstick and every thing is covered again. Just need some ideas because I don't want to pull the tranny for a leak.

Turns out it's the shifter linkage shaft seal. Looking to find a seal now

Default Shift shaft seal replacement

My shift shaft seal is also leaking. I'm hope the pan doesn't have to come off in order to change it. Let us know how it goes. I'm interested to see if it would be fairly easy to change. My ram has the 46 re tranny.

I bought the shift shaft seal remover tool. Made it super easy just pull the linkages off. Although buy the 1" longer , mine came up short. You'll need a 6" c clamp as well. I haven't got to testing it out yet been working to much. When I put my seal back in it didn't go in 100% straight. I'm hoping it'll still seal.

Went on to change my coolant and thermostat. Went super smooth. started her up to check for leaks and it was just pouring gasoline. God bless it. I located it to be the fuel line coming from the tank into a canister, where the line goes from steel to rubber. That's my new project.
