Default Electrical, no start issue

I have a non-consistent no start/power issue. When it acts up I have to try to start it like 25-30 times then by chance it starts up and it's good for a couple fire ups. Of course when I want to test it, it works. The truck has mimics no power, although it does have hazards. Head lights do not work and neither does any thing inside. I'm going to check the ignition switch but I feel like it could not be that because of how it effects the head lights. Do these trucks have any known problem factory splices I should be looking at or shall I continue the shot gun diag.
