88 Ram 150 leaf spring conversion??

Default 88 Ram 150 leaf spring conversion??

Anyone ever put leaf springs on the front of a 2wd ram 150 if so howd you do it

Why would you want to do that? I don't see it working anyway because of clearance issues even if you wanted to.

I would like to convert it over to 4 wheel drive and lift it what clearance issues will there be?

Going from 2WD to 4WD is a completely different story. 4WD uses a front axle that can use coil springs or leafs(depending on how it's designed). It doesn't work the other way around. I guess if you completely redesigned the control arms,frame etc... you could make it work. Not worth it when you can just use a coil spring(as the factory did). To convert a 2WD to a 4WD you need to remove all the the brackets/etc for the control arms and weld on everything to use a front axle(leaf spring mounts).

you need to find a whole truck that been rolled and do a body swap and what ever else you want to keep or use and put whats left on CL or make trip to the scrap yard
