My throttle body on my 1988 Dodge W100 318 has a Holley throttle body with "383" stamped on the front of it. Is Holley stock for that year? And does the 383 stamp stand for use on a 383 big block? If so, is that throttle body compatible with a 318? I'm wondering if the 383 throttle body is putting too much gas into the motor causing a rich condition to be shown by the computer.

 

Big blocks ended in 1978 and no big block ever had throttle body injection so no.

 

But did Holley come stock on the 318 from that year? I'm wondering if it's an aftermarket throttle body made for a big block 383. If not then that leaves me with a bad fuel pressure regulator.
