Hey I'm looking for some help. I have a 89 Dodge Ram 250 with a 318. Sitting at a stoplight yesterday engine died acted like it was running out of fuel after a little while engine would start run shortly and then die. Check the codes and it appears I'm getting codes 12 and 13 any help would be appreciated

 

Mileage? Maintenance history? The more info you can provide, the better we can help.


Code 13 is the o2 sensor. Code 12 just means the system has entered the diagnostic mode. I'd start by replacing the o2 sensor.

 

The truck has about a hundred and fifty thousand. Maintenance is good did spark plugs and wires about three months ago. I drove it 1800 miles down here and didn't have a liquor problems until I got to town went to turn Left off of Main Street and it acted like it's running out of gas. Checked the codes in it appears I'm getting a code 12 and 13

 

The old girl will restart and idle for a little bit and then it dies like it's running out of gas
