Default Won't idle or accelerate

my 85 Dodge Ram 4x4 with a 318 won't idle and will only accelerate if I do it very slowly. I have changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pump, all the vacuum hoses that seemed at all sketchy, and rebuilt the Holley 2280 2 bbl carb. Still does the same thing. It won't drive because it won't stay running in gear. And it makes loud sucking noises when I try to accelerate. I saw another thread where they were having similar problems, but there wasn't anything about whether changing the pu coil and ballast or the ignition coil fixed the problem, and I really don't want to keep dumping money into unnecessary parts. Thanks for any advice!

Default Carb rebuild

sounds like a major vacum leak. PCV valve ? Is everything plugged up on the carb thats not being used?
