Default 90 w150 no overdeive

replaced the solenoid and filter. fluid level good. tested solenoid wires by wiring a light to it; light came on at about 50mph where id expect od to kick in. od has not worked since i got it last year. speedo works, but odo doesnt. both of the dash brake lights are always on. i havent checked codes in a while, but last time i did, there wasnt anything.
im beyond frustrated and would welcome any fresh insight.
Thanks.

the brake and abs light are easy to get off. open the glove box and take all content out. push down on the center so glove box will flip down and then unplug the small computer looking thing bolted to the firewall should shut the lights off. as far as the odometer goes that issue is usually caused by a broken gear in the instrument cluster which is why your speedo works. not sure which 1 it is tho but they are available https://www.odometergears.com/produc...er-Dodge/All/5

as far as overdrive not working there could be many things causing it and all issue are likely in the transmission. best to start with a pressure test on the transmission. the pressure at the overdrive test port should be anywhere from 68-120psi. we ended up using a mechanical oil pressure gauge on my buddies truck when trouble shooting why his overdrive wasn't working. his still isn't working and the solutions are not exactly easy to tackle in the driveway.

Thank you very much for the text and attachments. I'll order a tester and go through it and post results.

i forgot to also link to the pdf file that i was getting the info from. there might be more info in it that might be of use to you. i really don't know transmissions well. i have just been slowly doing research and learning as we go trying to trouble shoot the transmission on my buddies truck. we have pretty much came to the conclusion the issue is not electrical on his truck and the solenoid ohms well. pretty much at the point where we got to tear into the transmission but we have to wait till it is a bit warmer out.
