1989 no start, no power to fuel pump

Default 1989 no start, no power to fuel pump

I have a 1989 dodge ram 100 has no power to the fuel pump. but will run with starting fluid. looking for a trouble shooting chart.

are you sure the fuel pump is good? usually the relay that powers the coil shares power with the relay that powers the fuel pump so if the engine will fire but the pump will not run it is likely you have a bad fuel pump.

Yes the Fuel pump is brand new. This is the first time i have ever asked a question on a forum. I am stumped cause i cant find any good wire diagrams or trouble shooting chart. But i know the wire going to the pump ohm out good.

have you tested for power at the fuel pump relay if you have already ohm'd the wire from the fuel pump relay to the pump? could also possibly be a bad relay
