84 ram transmission help

When I shift to drive nothing happens. It will take reverse. Indicator doesn’t move from park either. Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks

have you checked the fluid level with the truck running in neutral. if you are low on fluid it can do as you described.

Yes. Fluid is fine. I'm afraid the tranny needs built. Does anyone have a used working transmission?
