FYI. Installing headers on smog heads requires you to plug the smog holes below each exhaust port. Per the directions from hooker, i tapped each hole with 1/4 20 tap, no drilling necessary, and used set screws. The whole deal took me two hours. The hooker set, according to summit, is the only mid priced set designed to clear the mopar high torque starter on ram pickups.

 

i am pretty sure that is something you have to do on nearly all dodge heads until they switched to the magnum heads
