My 84 D150 has the painted gray rear step bumper...I have axle flipped the rear and the step bumper just isn't jiving anymore. I would like a chrome non-step bumper for the rear but there's not much out there...anyone tried using a better looking bumper from a newer/older more accessible truck? I'm good with light modification or welding, just wanting to see if anyone has successfully done anything like this already.

 

you can get the non step bumper aftermarket but i have never seen them available in chrome. i also don't know if you can get the brackets to bolt them to the frame but anything can be made. i got one in chrome a few years ago but even then it wasn't in perfect shape but the price was right

 

Guess I will start searching local junk yards for a older pickup bumper or a ramcharger bumper.....
