Default advice on dropping pan 1985 W250 318

Looking for tips on dropping the oil pan while still in the truck. Looks like the engine needs to be raised an inch to let pan clear crank? Sorry if been covered, forum search had no results.

shouldn't need to lift the engine. just have to remove the starter and inspection cover and sometimes if it is snug you rotate the crank to get the crank/connecting rod out of your way.
