I'm looking for suggestions on why my battery isn't charging.
Battery tested good.
I replaced the alternator, but didn't fix the problem. After I disconnected the small connectors on alternator a few times I saw a spark and the alternator started working. The battery wasn't getting regulated and was started overcharging.
I replaced the regulator and connectors and was back to the beginning problem of battery not taking a charge.
I am reading power at alternator cable, red small alternator wire and at voltage regulator.
I do have several spots of old wiring and do blow fuses regularly. Any suggestions on steps I should take to diagnose the problem are appreciated.
