I have a 1992 Power Ram w150 318 5.2L automatic with push button overdrive. single cab short bed. A little over 200,000 miles. I want to be able to pull a 12ft-16ft camper trailer or two horse trailer. I drive around the mountains in Flagstaff and on the Hwy quite a bit. I want this truck to be able to do a little bit of everything; Off roading, Pulling, giddy up and go when I ask it to. I don’t know what tranny is in it right now or what my gear ratio is. The set up I think I need with the motor I have is a 727 tranny with 3.88 gear ratio or a 3.73 ratio? Or a 3.90?? Idk y’all help me out. What are y’all a thoughts and advice?

Ooh! I have lots of advice. Like Moparite said, don't tow in over drive and add a separate cooler for the transmission. Run it the fluid through the radiator first then through the cooler. Otherwise, the transmission will always be as hot as the engine. Towing makes a loy of heat so you want it as efficient as possible. When towing, don't get in a hurry.
Other advice I have is;
Don't fry bacon in the nude.
Never lick a steak knife
Don't trust an electrician with no eyebrows.
