Default Steering column compatibility

I have a 1973 w100 and would like to swap in a newer steering column. the one I have is out of a 86 ram or 89 ram and my question is on the wiring. the plug is the same but is it going to be plug and play as far as the electrical connection goes?

I am aware of the other changes that will need to be made.

any steering column could be able to be used but only the 87 and older are likely the only ones to be plug and play. i would recommend avoiding the 88-90 columns since they sometimes have od ball parts fail and are impossible to find. the 91-93 are the better ones to use since the continued to use the same parts on the newer trucks but you will need to do some wiring to make it work.

Ok going by the steering wheel the one I want to use is for a 85 - 87 dodge ram so is there any place online to get a good detailed wiring diagram of this and my 1973 w100 steering column?
