Hi all, thanks in advance for anyone with suggestions or insights into my issue. I have a 89 w250 and it used to start up no problems and then it developed a need for me to slightly push up on the ignition actuator rod for the key to turn. Now the key wont turn at all. i removed enough peices from the steering column and dash to see the end of the rod but there doesnt seem to be anywhere for it to connect to. There were a couple of holes that seemed to be the right size for the end of the rod, but the rod is either too long or in the wrong position for the peices to connect. Please help!
