Default 1987 D150 fuel tank vent valve/rollover valve replacement

I need some help with my project truck, a 1987 D150, The fuel tank vent valve is shot and I need to replace it, the truck had been sitting for a while and it became brittle and basically disintegrated. I have been trying to find a replacement and the Dodge dealer tells me its a discontinued part (which I figured since the truck is 30 years old). I have tried a couple different valves but they are all too small. Any help on which valve might work in this truck would be appreciated. Even if its a Chevy part that would work or Ford or whatever!. I found a site that advertises a valve for various model years for Dodge trucks that cover the 87 but I really was hoping NOT to pay $300 for it!

I know that one out of a 79 will fit directly, all the way to 87. And it don't have to be out of a pickup
full size Dodge van or any rear wheel drive Dodge car would also be the same. Maybe even older than that or newer. Might help with junking.

I just put a gas tank for a 79 pickup in an 80, same valve. I have a tank here from an 84, same part.
Just have to be careful getting them out working around with a couple of small screwdrivers. And wet it with dish soap, windows or penetrating oil, something. The plastic valve will pop out of the rubber easier too. And hopefully the grommet comes out of either your truck or the donor intact

Thanks for the info, I have been on several boards and the best information I have received has been a link to Auto Zone! This really helps!
