Default Hello everyone

Hey everyone, I decided to join to hopefully get some information about a vehicle I was requested to work on and I decided to come here to get a general idea of what I'm getting into.

The vehicle is a 93 dodge ram, 5.2 liter, b150 with 60k miles.

The issue at hand is the owner was having starting issues and he decided to spray starting fluid I'm assuming in the carb to get it running and it started a fire that resulted in some melted wires and and 2 injector wires and clips are basically melted. I have a few pics to illustrate this a bit more clearly.

So what's the best plan of action at this point? Removing the damaged portions and splicing in new connectors? Would I even be able to locate these parts for this vehicle? From what I've read this model was only available for 2 years so I'm assuming this will make things a bit more difficult.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

parts are readily available for those. most of the parts were also used on the 2nd gen trucks. best to just repair all the damaged stuff and then toubleshoot why it wasn't starting afterwards.
this should ;probably help

That's great to know, I'll try to hunt down some harnesses to get things started. I checked some places and had no luck. Somewhere in particular I should check?

you won't find a complete harness but all connectors or sensors are available. you will have to fix the harness that is there. rock auto has a bunch of connectors or sensors.
