Default 1992 Lug nuts/rims

Hey guys so I know that 2nd gen rims are originally for 9/16. My 1st gen came with moto metals when I picked it up last year and there just isn't enough stud (1/2") to grab onto on my Cummins with the rims they're 18" rims so I ordered the lug nuts I need to put them on my 2nd gen. My question is can I use 2nd gen (3/4ton) factory 16" steel rims with the 1st gens factory lug nuts for my Cummins. I'm doing a rear disc brake conversion on the rear of my Cummins so I'm gonna give 9/16 studs a try on the rear, but mine being a 2wd from what I've seen I haven't seen anybody have any luck with 9/16 studs on the front of the D series trucks only with the W series. I have factory rims for my Cummins and the factory lug nuts, but the rims are in rough shape so I just use them for the truck to sit on all winter while it's parked. Since I have 2 sets of 2nd gen steel rims I want to go that route I know that people have had issues with the aluminum rims that came on the late model 2nd gens, but I haven't heard any bad things about the steel rims.

I like to use the bulge style nut in 3/4" hex. (Jeep, Dakota, etc) This provides a round surface to mate with the larger holes in the wheels.

The stock 13/16" nuts dig into the wheel on the 6 corners.

Not sure. That nut has a weird flange.

Maybe something like Dorman 611-162
