5.9 12 Valve Swap Questions
Hi All,
I am going to swap a 1989 5.9 12 Valve into my 1984 W250. It is currently a 318/727 4x4 truck. Here lies the questions, will factory motor mounts from a 89-93 truck fit my frame, are there any modifications necessary? Also, if I use a diesel 727 transmission, do I need to change the crossmember in any way? Will I need a body lift to accommodate this engine or are the engine bays/ transmission tunnels the same. I know I'll need new leaf springs, front axle etc. Thank you all for the info, if there is anything else about this swap worth mentioned please feel free to add it. Thank you!

I used a whole 90 d250 cummins truck to convert my 84 2wd ramcharger. Mounts land on existing frame holes. Had to drill new holes for the trans crossmember a little over an inch back. (5 speed)
Trim the pinch weld between the firewall and trans tunnel a bit (the factory did on my cummins trucks). Also need the diesel rad support with its matching grill and radiator to make things easy.
