Default Convert to power windows

I have a 1989 D100 with manual windows. Is it possible to convert to power windows using the same door. Maybe a crazy idea but no one has ever said I was all that sane

It is possible. I have a few doors that have been converted one way or the other. Regulator needs to be swapped, and the door needs wiring for it.

I don't recommend it. I'd rather have a window that I have to reach for than one that doesn't work at all.

I think it was JC Whitney that used to have a "universal" power window kit that mounted on the door card and engaged the shaft where the crank handle used to be. Can't remember exactly how the wiring was done and the up/down switch was on the box you mounted that contained the motor. Probably would look like a real kludge solution, maybe not. Depends on how much you want power windows. Not sure if anyone still makes such a beast or not.
