I put a new outer door handle on a 78 D100. I had to push the button a wee bit to get the rod to connect. It was out about the thickness of the rod. Now I can’t open the door from the outside. The new handles came from LMC Truck. You can see the difference in the mechanism between the old and the new. What can I do or are the new handles simply the wrong ones? I need to get this figured out before I do the other side, can't have two doors that won't open.
