I'm thinking of swapping in a 318 magnum from a 92 into my 84 d250. But also considering rebuilding the original motor with better cam, head work, etc.. and using something like the Holley sniper. Has anyone had experience with the Holley setup?

 

If you plan on doing a throttle body injection system like what holley offers pay attention to what intake you use. They tend to work better with single plane style intakes. But with the magnum there is not a lot offered since it was already MPFI using the kegger. Have you considered using the whole system from a donor vehicle? Look threw the link for info doing a magnum swap.

 

I appreciate the input! I have a guy with a complete 318 magnum in running condition for 300 out of a 92, just wasn't sure how that would work.ie ecm, sensors and such
