‘92 W250 intermittent backfire when cold
Good evening everyone
I have a ‘92 W250 (318 automatic) that I picked up in August of ‘21. Have done a lot of parts replacement on it since purchasing(list below,) and to this day I still have an intermittent backfire when starting.
If the truck is warm and started every day there are no issues, however if it sits for 3-4 days, it backfires and idles extremely rough upon starting. A couple cycles of the key usually fix’s the issue and it runs amazing. Any suggestions on what to check would be greatly appreciated. -Fuel Pump
-Battery
-Fuel Filter
-Throttle Position Sensor
-Idle Air Control Sensor
-MAP Sensor
-Oil Pressure Sensor
-Intake Air Temperature Sensor
-Distributor Cap/Rotor
-Distributor Pick-Up Sensor
-Spark Plug Wires/Plugs
-Ignition Coil
-Fuel Injectors
-EGR Delete
-Valve Covers/Gaskets
-Air Cleaner
-Shorty Headers
-Intake Gaskets
-PCV Valve
-Thermostat
*Editing to clarify that the timing has been checked and is correct. Forgot to add that into the original message
