Saw something hanging under the passenger side exhaust manifold area. Climbed under and grabbed it and it just fell off in my hand. What is this thing??

 

I guess we look into this to know what the truck is...

Truck is an ‘88 D250 360 c.i. automatic

 

Think I figured it out - not a break line… that would be a pretty big problem.
I could see a rubber line coming from the PHV that’s down on the passenger side manifold. Investigating further, it doesn’t go anywhere. I believe this hard line came from there.
Vacuum lines are a mess on this thing. Working through them, but the more I look the more I think a lot of them are just going to go away.
