Can’t figure out why it’s running rich

The truck is a 1993 dodge d150 and it has the 318 in it and I get very poor gas mileage and you can smell out the exhaust that it is rich it’s throwing a flash code of 52

have you tried changing the O2 sensor?

My exhaust only goes about 3 feet back it comes out by the passenger door

there should still be an o2 sensor. it you don't have one at all that is likely your issue.

I found the o2 sensor I’m gonna get the code’s checked by a obd1 reader
