Default Wiring Nightmare

So I recently inherited my old man 1989 W150 5.2L that he had been working and unfortunately he is no longer with us for me to ask wth he had going on. I first changed the distributor cap plugs wire and coil and I had the truck running. however I ended up needing to replace the fuel pump and lines and now I am getting fuel but have no spark. When I originally changed the cap and rotor i realized the shield had rust in but was to lazy to change the whole distributor out then. I recently placed the whole distributor and still no spark along with no power before or after the coil I’ve checked all the fuses/grounds and they are good. After some research I’m noticing it does not a ASD relay (pictures attached) but the truck ran previously so I have no idea. Any help or thoughts would be great.

Your best bet is to find a wiring diagram. You may have to buy one.

If you have fuel it has a ASD relay, Positive power go to both the coil and fuel pump if i recall. The relays are on the side of the inner fenders but don't know the location. Best to get a diagram.

might be a dumb question but is the Asd relay also referred to as the fuel pump relay?

you can call it the fuel pump relay also if you want. it powers almost anything under the hood that requires power when running. it will only be on for a brief time till it the computer detects cranking and turns it back on. you can try bypassing it and making a jumper from the positive terminal of the battery to the positive terminal of the coil for testing purposes. this will help try to determine if you possibly have a wiring or computer issue.
