Default 89 W150 TBI to Carb swap wiring questions

I would like to delete the smog system and go to carb. What about wiring? I would like to delete the ECM completely. What is the easiest way to do this? I have access to an engine wiring harness from a carb truck and fuel tank to run a mechanical pump. Will the older harness work?

You will need to modify the fuel delivery system to lower the pressure as the mechanical pump won’t work if the motor doesn’t have the cam lobe. I think I have heard the harness will work but probably easier just to cut out what you have in your original harness that is not needed. The distributor will need to be changed back to an older style with the additional box as well.
