Default New radio install with no sound

Installed new radio with new wires directly to the speakers, they worked when I tested them out before I started but now that I've spliced them they don't work.

What radio? Did you use a harness? Is the radio powering on? Stock speakers? Did you match the impedance? May need to go back and check all your work and connections again.

What year truck? The old stuff grounded the wires to the vehicle frame. The newer (1980's and later) use a wire to and from the speaker.

My connections weren't good. I had to re-splice the speakers. They work now, but my gauge lights aren't working when I turn my lights on.
