We unplugged the overdrive and that definitely helped with speed especially on hills
Why? There is a button on the dash to turn off the OD. Was the throttle kick down linkage ever adjusted?

Unplugged it after a little forum browsing, there is a button. We didn't adjust anything except the idle speed
I think specifically because we believed there to be a lockup due to that code 37. Now know there isnt one so I might plug it back see if it effects anything or if it was just "a change is progress"

Code 37 refers to lock up not the OD. Clear the codes and see if anything returns.

I did that a while ago, 37 was the only code that came back
