91 d350 rear end compatability

I have a1991 doge D250 work truck with a bad rear end can any one tell me which years and model rear ends will fit it I have a chance to buy a 1988 D350 cheap and I wonder if the 1 ton rear end will interchange with my 3/4ton rear end
