Trans shop claled me today, and not even the core is salvageable. The total with a new core(sent in from San Antonio), labor($900 or so) and a tq converter($350) is going to be $1900. Screw that. I am doing this myself and going the A904 Sizzler option. For soem reason SummitRacing.com doesnt work on my pc, so I am going through TCI directly.

this post was way off topic, but atleast the forum is active

Try this link, TCI charges about $200 more than Summit Racing. Be aware though, the transmission is backordered until April and shipping is $79.00.

Also try some local speed shops and parts dealers to see if they can get one for you. The TCI part number is #111338 and Summit Racing wants $599.95 for it. You MUST get a fluid cooler with the transmission, otherwise it will fry faster than an egg on a 100 degree day. Summit Racing sells the TCI ones, but call around for these too. A good one will run from $50-$70. With these, bigger is always better, so get the biggest one that will fit in between the radiator and grille without blocking more than half of the radiator.

My dad's friend runs a shop in downtown Houston area, and he said he can get me a rebuilt transmission with a 12K/12month warranty for $850 including labor. As of now my transmission is pulled and the exhaust is off after the stock exhaust manifolds. Sounds freakin loud and back-fires when I let off the gas. So tomorrow I am having the truck towed down there and a new/rebuilt transmission installed. I would prefer a TCI trans, but this comes with a warranty and I can extend it for a few hundred to 36month/36K miles.

Now I know I went off the topic to this thread....

If you are looking for headers look on ebay under 318 headers and you want some more power at the the wheels look up 318 rebuild kits thats if you have a 318. If not type in the engine size and whatever at the end. Ebay has a lot of parts for cheap.
