89 main relay location ?

Default 89 main relay location ?

where is the main relay (fuel pump relay) located on a 89 dodge ram .
the truck doesn't want to start after siting in the hot sun , or if u hae been driing for awhile , so my guess is it's the relay , but then again im new to dodges . would a bad fuel pump do the same thing . fom it over heating ? any input would help

Auto Shutdown(ASD) or Main Relay should be here. Your problem could be a heat sensitve pickup assembly in the distributor, bad coil, bad fuel pump. If the pickup in the dist does not send pulses to the computer, the ASD relay will shut down and the ignition and fuel systems will loose power. The next time it wont start, try a small shot of starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it tries to start. If it does then the ASD relay and pickup asm are ok...probable fuel pump failure. If it does not start then suspect the pickup asm or the ASD relay.
