Carb to Fuel injection conversion

Default Carb to Fuel injection conversion

Hi i have a '85 dodge ram D-250 with a 318cid engine, 2barrel carb and i herd that putting a fuel injection system off of a 88, 89, 90,etc on it would give it alot more power. I I were to do this what would be involved and what would components would i need to do this.[>:]

I would like to do the same thing, there is a junk yard in my area that has an '89 in it with fuel injection just not sure what parts are needed

There are far better ways to get more power than change to factory fuel injection. It is old technology that that was OK for its time but is very limited. I don't believe at the end of the conversion you will be happy with the results.

I would say go for a 4bbl carb, more power, but also better fuel economy if you drive conservatively. I was actually considering going to a carb and scrapping the TBI myself.

go carbed or ob2 compatible. everything between is a wast of time. i went carbed in my 91.
