Default 90 Ram seats

Hello all, I'm new to the forum, and think its great! But anyway, this post is to see if anyone has any ideas about seats for my truck. You see, I bought a nice 90 ram, d150, 318 auto 4x2. However it has a bench seat, and I dont care for them, as I like an armrest. So I thought that i would put bucket seats and a console in the truck. However, I was thinking that seats out of a newer dakota or ram would be nice, but then thought they would be too narrow ( leave huge spaces between the seats, console, and doors) being that a dakota is nerrower then a full sized ram. But anyway, if anyone has any ideas, please post them, it would be appreciated. thanks.

I have an 89 w150, and i just yesterday installed bucket seats and a center console! my solution cost fifty bucks and some of my time, but it was worth it! Local salvage yard had a 90 ramcharger with folding buckets in the front and a factory center console. Of course the seats have cigarette burns in them, but my dad is an upholsterer, so that can be fixed. there is mild fabrication work involved in installation, as there are only four holes total in the cab of the pickup for mounting seats, they only ever came with a bench! the driver side bucket seat will set into stock bench holes, but you have to mark the other two holes and drill them out. Center console is easy, eyeball it in place mark and drill four small holes and install via self tapping screws, the passenger seat however, is another story, it does require lining it up, drilling front holes, attaching a hinge, lining up another bracket, drilling more holes, and the floor pan of the puckups are flimsier than the ramcharger, so a cross beam between the two seats or at least from the driver seat to a solid mounting point will be required, as the seat tends to lean and flex the floor pan towards the door when making right hand turns! all in all, it turned out good considering the price and amount of time involved. i would post pics if i had any yet, but it looks just like it would in a ramcharger, so there really is no point! if this isnt what your looking for, or dont want to have to fabricate, jc whitney sells brand new kits, vehicle specific, but they are spendy!

Get the seats form an LE model. They are conversion van style with a very luxerious (for '91) center console. I love how comfortable these seats are and I am a decent size guy (6'5" 270Lbs). Heres a pic of my truck, bad angle but you get the idea.

These are the seats out of a 79 warlock, that we had redone. They are in our 90 CTD.
