Default Rebuilt 318 in a 88 Ram 150

Hey guys,
ive been rebuildin an 88 dodge ram pick up engine for the past couple of months and i believe im about ready to start er' up. I know im suppose to disconnect the ignition coil and crank the starter for about 30 seconds to lube everything and then run it between 2000 and 2500 rpm's to break it in. If any of you guys can think of anything else i should do before or after break-in, please let me know. (i'm sixteen and this is the first engine ive rebuilt with little help from the shop teacher, so any advice would help)
