Default do you think this is a good deal?

there is a nice looking 1989 dodge 150 ram long bed in my neighborhood. its brown, has a 3" suspension lift, stock rims but BFGoodrich all terrains, true dual exhausts with glasspacks. it has 87000 miles on it but the guy working on it says that it has probably turned over. the reason he is working on it cuz the guy who owned it before says that the engine is blown. but really it was jus overheating alot. there is about 1" of rust over each wheel well but nuthin that cant be fixed. and the frame looks as if where brand new. ive never seen a cleaner looking frame on this old of a truck. it has a carb. 318 in it with a holly aftermarket carb. they are selling it for $3,000 when they are done. is this a deal? the kelly blue book says its worth $2,500 in good condition. so should i just take the deal like it is or try very hard to get it down to $2,500?

Default RE: do you think this is a good deal?

I would try very hard to get it as los as you can, but it would have to be in very very very good shape for me to spend that on it. I know these trucks are nice, but you can likely find a much cheaper one that is in as good ro better shape. I paid 1000 for mine and its in just about mint shape, never winter driven, and has good suspension and tires. only needed a tail light for safety, and with the money i saved, i customized a lot of stuff on it. jsut gotta keep your eyes and ears open, or sweet talk.
